Managerial |
· Provide senior executive leadership, advocacy and guidance for the marketing department and drive its day-to-day operations - recruiting, supervising and mentoring members of the marketing team. · Ensure awareness of and compliance with brand across all departments within the organization. · Proactively identify and address areas for improvement within the organization. · Manage performance evaluation and appraisal reports of direct reports to assess productivity and progress, and identify training needs to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices.

Organizational |
· Manage senior relationships with internal & external stakeholders. · Provide counsel and insight to the CEO and other members of the senior executive team. · Develop the structure for the Reserve’s marketing department and drive recruitment to fill identified positions. · Develop and implement appropriate operational processes, procedures, forms and tools. · Develop the annual marketing budget and identify the appropriate resources to deliver the strategy. · Retain the necessary talent and third-party agency support to deliver the department’s mandate.

Marketing and Communication |
· Devise and direct an appropriate program of market research and data analytics to inform brand and marketing strategy · Manage stakeholder / customer segmentation studies for the Reserve’s activities and ensure that stakeholders are targeted with the right message via the right channel at the right time. · Lead the development and implementation of an integrated marketing strategy and execution plan to address both the conservation and destination objectives of the Reserve. · Partner with other departments within the Reserve to identify and develop appropriate product and service offerings to drive consideration and conversion. · Define, measure and report the performance of all paid and unpaid marketing communications channels/campaigns and assess against ROI and KPI goals. · Devise and implement appropriate metrics for the Reserve’s owned channels.

· Coach, develop and motivate team members by monitoring team performance and providing feedback. · Support team member’s professional development through the identification and facilitation of appropriate training programs. · Follow up on escalated cases/issues of subordinates to ensure they are closed efficiently and in a timely manner. · Identify and develop future leaders and put in place a succession plan for all critical job roles.

Budget Management |
· Implement and efficiently scale the market budget, allocating spending and optimizing a blend of channels to hit growth targets efficiently, while thinking long term and being resourceful.

Other |
· Successful track record within Conservation and / or Destination Marketing ideally within the Region. · Ideal candidate will have both agency and previous senior experience. · Passion for conservation, natural history and cultural heritage. · Strong verbal and written communications – English is essential and Arabic is preferred. · Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
